David M. Weinstein, CTP, is a Managing Director at Phoenix Management Services, a part of J.S. Held. He has more than 40 years of senior credit, workout, and restructuring experience across various industries, including retail and consumer goods, manufacturing, automotive, and aviation.
David has versatile experience as an advisor, most recently as a Practice Leader for the Southeast for CohnReznick and with various creditors. Through his prior roles, he has gained significant insights into both lender and creditor positions, capital sourcing, workouts, and restructuring in and out-of-court. David brings his experience from both sides of the table to all his engagements, having been a senior lender, chief credit officer, and corporate consultant.
David has been involved with the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) for over 30 years, having served on the Global Board in numerous positions as previous President of the New York City, Connecticut, and Florida Chapters. He now serves as the President of the Certification Oversight Committee, which is the governing body of Certified Turnaround Professionals (CTP) and Certified Turnaround Analysts (CTA).
David holds a BA in Political Science and Economics and an MBA in Finance from Pace University, where he also served as Adjunct Faculty for the Lubin School of Business.
